Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Welcome to Amberlog. By accessing or using our FBA sourcing journal extension and dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1Accounts

The Amberlog browser extension works fully signed out, with tracking data kept only in your browser's local storage. To sync that data across devices and view it in the web dashboard, you need an Amberlog account, created with an email address and password.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

2Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Amberlog to scrape or resell Amazon's data at scale, beyond normal personal browsing
  • Use Amberlog in a way that violates Amazon's own Conditions of Use
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service's infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to abuse the extension's passive capture beyond ordinary use

3The Service

Amberlog is currently provided free of charge. There are no subscriptions, paid tiers, or purchases within the Service today. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, this section will be updated and you'll be notified before any charge applies to your account.

4Relationship to Amazon

Amberlog is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. or any of its affiliates. "Amazon" and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. Your use of Amazon's own websites remains governed by Amazon's Conditions of Use, and you're responsible for complying with them independently of these Terms.

5Intellectual Property & Your Data

The Amberlog name, logo, extension, dashboard, and website are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to them beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended.

The tracking history you accumulate through your own use of Amberlog - your snapshots, tags, and notes - remains yours. Being able to access or export data through Amberlog doesn't give you any ownership rights over Amazon's own underlying product data; it only reflects what was publicly visible on the pages you visited.

6Availability and Changes

We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service - including the extension, the dashboard, or specific features - for maintenance, security, legal compliance, changes to Amazon's own page structure, or business reasons. This includes changing what's available for free if we introduce paid plans in the future, as described in The Service above. We'll aim to give reasonable notice of material changes where practical.

7Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the pricing, rank, availability, or other data it presents is accurate, complete, or current - see Limitation of Liability below for how that applies to decisions you make based on it.

8Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Amberlog and its affiliates, agents, and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose - which, since the Service is currently free, is zero.

Amberlog reads and stores data as accurately as Amazon's own page markup allows, but makes no guarantee that captured pricing, rank, or availability data is complete or error-free at any given moment - always verify critical figures against Amazon directly before acting on them.

9Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and, if you have an account, asking us to delete it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us, other users, or third parties. Deletion of your data on termination is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

10Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your place of residence remain unaffected. If you have a concern, please contact us first at support@amberlog.app so we can try to resolve it informally.

11Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we do, we'll post the revised version here and update the date at the top. For material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you - such as a notice on this site or an email to your account address. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
